We live in a society where people do their own thing and Westfield Mount Druitt seem to agree to it. One thing, we don't have within the compound of Westfield Mount Druitt is Policing, in regards to smoking, littering, road surfaces in need of detrimental repair, no proper crossings clearly marked on the road (paint is fading) and Motor cyclists can park illegally anywhere! That is just to mention a few things!
Because the roads with the Westfield Mount Druitt are privately owned, they must be privately maintained. The same goes with policing, privately paid Westfield security guards are only seen within the building perimeter of Westfield Mount Druitt, sometimes they are seen at the eastern exit, near Dawson Mall.
So, as the privately paid Westfield Security guards don't check what is happening outside, motor cyclists will park illegally. This prevents pedestrians to use the public pathways where this motor cyclist parks their vehicle. Maybe, Westfield Management can either fine this person , add signs for fines for illegal parking and/orhave a proper parking bay/areas specially for motor cyclists and Cyclists (previous blog here).
We hope through Blacktown City Council, this issue is resold!

More to the point, when will the managment of Westfields Mt Druitt finally do something about ongoing irritation and annoyance caused by the evacuation alarm sounding at almost any hour of the night!. Last week I was woken at 3am by it. I know I wouldn't be the only person who lives nearby who is over hearing it blast away.
